Velocity — Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 August 2026

Velocity is a social VR app for Meta Quest headsets. This policy explains what information the app handles when you play, why, and how long it is kept. Velocity is a general audience app: there is no age limit, and players of all ages are welcome. Because younger children may play, we keep what we collect to the minimum the game needs to run, and the section on younger players below explains the extra protections that apply to them.

What we collect

What we do not do

How long it is kept

Display names, device IDs, IP addresses, and gameplay state exist only for the length of your session and are dropped when you disconnect. Server connection logs, which include a display name and IP address, are kept for up to 30 days for abuse investigation and then deleted. If a player is banned, the associated device ID and IP address are retained until the ban is lifted.

Moderation and safety

Velocity includes in-app tools to mute and report other players. Hosts and staff can mute, kick, and ban. Bans are enforced using the device ID and IP address described above. We use this information only to keep sessions safe.

Younger players and parents

Velocity has no age limit, so children may play. We designed the app to collect as little as possible from everyone, and we apply the following to every player regardless of age:

What is retained is limited to the device identifier and IP address described above, and only for enforcing kicks and bans.

Parents and guardians: Velocity includes live voice chat with other players, which is open by default. Any player can mute or block another player from the in-app safety panel, and you can turn the microphone off entirely from the headset controls. On Meta Quest, we recommend also using Meta's own parental supervision tools to manage who your child can play and speak with.

If you are a parent or guardian and you want to review what information is associated with your child, have it deleted, or refuse any further collection, email us at the address below and we will act on the request. If we learn that we have collected information from a child in a way that required your consent and did not have it, we will delete that information.
